Dr. Ackerman is now offering Telemedicine visits for both new and existing patients. Telemedicine visits are performed using Doxy.me, is a HIPAA-secure (private), video-conference platform which allows you to interact directly with Dr. Ackerman. Screensharing allows for review of relevant anatomic diagrams as well a previous imaging studies.
Nearly all major insurance carriers are covering Telemedicine visits and often cover the co-pay as well. Telemedicine allows Dr. Ackerman to continue to provide world-class Orthopedic and Sports Medicine care for his patients while maintaining social-distancing during the current Covid-19 pandemic.
Please keep in mind that Dr. Ackerman is still seeing patients in his office. Any visits that involve a more hands-on approach (injections, suture removal, splint application, X-Rays, etc) are welcome in our office. We are also available to see any patients who prefer an in-person visit.
